The Five Best Car-Related Film Moments

With the Oscars approaching, it’s prime film-watching season. Whether cars are the central focus of a film or only steal the show in one scene, here are our favorite car-related film moments over the years.

Fast and Furious

As an undercover cop, Los Angeles’ Brian O’Connor is sent to destroy the street-racing world. Trouble strikes when the atmosphere captivates him. Where do his allegiances really lie?

Talladega Nights

Playing a famous racecar driver, the hysterical and self-absorbed Ricky Bobby vigorously lives by his ‘trademarked’ motto: “If you ain't first, you're last.” Amidst all of the seriousness that generally accompanies auto-related films, this is a must see for anyone who needs a good laugh.

Drive

If the enticing and artistic cinematography is not enough to enchant you, Drive will certainly satisfy everyday adrenaline junkies and stylized car devotees. Planning to watch the movie soon? You better hold on tight and prepare for the ride of your life.

Bridesmaids (‘Driving’ Scene)

Although the majority of the plot is completely non-auto related, this Bridesmaids “driving” scene is absolutely hilarious, especially because protagonist Annie’s reckless driving antics get the attention of a cop she’s trying to impress for all of the wrong reasons.

Cars

At first glance, Cars may seem like your typical cheesy, animated film, but this could not be further from the truth. Looking beyond the animated context, Cars is really a tribute to automobile history, a look at NASCAR’s roots, and an ode to Route 66. NASCAR fans are destined to fall in love with Cars!

Valentine’s Day Prep: Car Lover Edition

You Auto Be My Valentine…Yes, car fanatics, the Valentine’s Day cheesy car puns are truly unlimited. For a friend, for your child’s classmates, for a significant other, for a spouse, there are endless ways to drive love in someone’s direction for the most romantic day of the year.

Here are a few paths:

This DIY card -- completely cheesy, but somehow completely adorable.

Looking to make your 7 year old happy? I bet classmates will go crazy over these Car themed Valentine’s day cards. Also, age aside, who doesn’t love the movie Cars?

Nothing screams love more than pausing Modern Family and combating the polar vortex to see your significant other. Talk about sacrifice.

Remember: cars are romantic too – Does Sandy and Danny’s adorably awkward date at the drive-in movies jog your memory?

But if you’re single, you can celebrate too…right?

…Which means you obviously need to buy yourself a gift.

Chocolate AND Cars? There is no better combination.

Did someone say chocolate?

And finally:

Head over to Sansone Auto Mall and treat yourself…to a new car
